I’m Abhishek Kolge, a Director & Cinematographer born and raised in India, shaped by years of filmmaking in Berlin, and now based in Split, Croatia.

My work sits somewhere between directing and cinematography, I’m interested in creating images that feel honest, tactile and cinematic rather than simply polished. I’m especially drawn to the texture, unpredictability and human quality of analog film, working with 16mm and 35mm whenever the story calls for it.

I studied BA Practical Filmmaking and MA Cinematography in Berlin, where I spent several years working freelance across different kinds of productions. Having also worked as an actor, I’ve experienced filmmaking from both sides of the camera, which influences how I work with performers, crews and fellow creatives.

I enjoy collaborating with people who want to push an idea further and take on projects that are visually ambitious, unconventional or simply difficult to pull off. I have my own professional camera setup and am available for productions worldwide.

Alongside filmmaking, I run SLON Produkcija d.o.o., a company based in Croatia and working across video production, IT services and international trade.

When I’m not making films, I’m usually shooting analog photographs or travelling, two things that continue to shape the way I see and tell stories.
